Vocational

Adelaide is the only place in the world offering courses that borrow from the Swiss, French and Australian culinary traditions. Adelaide's vocational education and training (VET) system comprises the government-owned TAFE South Australia (with campuses across the state) and a wide variety of private training organizations.

As a VET student, you'll earn qualifications in fields such as IT, primary industries, manufacturing, business and tourism/ hospitality, to name just a few. These qualifications are recognized all over the world; and thanks to Adelaide's pathways, you can easily move across to university degree courses, with your VET qualification counting towards entry.

Renowned for helping more than one million students move on to their chosen career or university degree over the past decade, research shows that 91 per cent of graduates either go on to university of find a job once they have completed their TAFE South Australia qualification - that's a higher rate than any other state in Australia.
