The University of Adelaide holds an exhibition at the Adelaide Showgrounds for Mechanical Engineering students to exhibit their final year projects. This year the exhibition will fall on Wednesday 27th October and runs from 9am to 4pm.

The exhibition is an opportunity for the fourth year students to exhibit their projects to the public, everyone is welcome to come by and have a look. The school of Mechanical Engineering includes aerospace, mechanical, mechatronic and automotive engineering and hence there is a large variety of projects to have a look at some of them you may even have a go at using. Many of the projects are design and build but there are also research projects into advanced topics that are being researched globally.

There is a shuttle from the University of Adelaide which takes you to the showgrounds but there is also the option of taking public transport (for specific buses and times please check www.adelaidemetro.com.au) such as buses or trams.

This week Sunday (24th October 2010) from 10am to 3pm Gouger street will be holding the Moving Cities Event. Some of the sustainable engineering projects developed of this year will also be exhibited at this event amongst food and a wide range of activities and products.

The students are always eager to show the work they have been involved in. So if you are interested in pursuing a career in this field or just want to come and have a look at what some of your fellow peers have been doing come down next Wednesday and have a look around! =D
