Topic - Top things to see and do in Adelaide

Adelaide is known as the city of festivals and yet again we see why. OzAsia is a 15 day festival with plays, shows, food and many more activities from around Asia. This year the festival will run from Friday 17 September to Saturday 02 October.

Many of the plays and shows require tickets (specific dates and prices can be found on OzAsia website http://www.adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au/ozasia/) however one of the most celebrates events is the Moon Lantern Festival. This is a free event and will occur on Wednesday 22 September 2010 from 15:30-20:30pm. The festival will take place at Elder Park on the banks of the Torrens River (location can be seen at http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&tab=wl). The Moon Lantern Festival is open to all age groups and on the day you will find Asian food, crafts, lanterns, stalls, workshops and much more. The night will end with a fireworks show! I have been to Moon Lantern Festival many times before and it is a lovely way to take a break from study/work and learn a bit more about different countries and cultures.

It is a wonderful way to spend an even with friends or family under the stars and this year you will find a host of StudyAdelaide representitives at the festival! Hope to see you there too! =)
