Shivani Gupta

Shivani’s personal experience of moving from India to a remote area in South Australia at a young age was the first major change in her life.

With a determination to overcome obstacles and the motivation to succeed, Shivani rose to each challenge: studying in a non-traditional area of engineering, moving into a career in a male-dominated sector and overcoming barriers faced by women in the workplace by moving into management positions at a young age while completing her MBA at the University of South Australia. At the age of 27, she became a senior manager with BHP Billiton, the largest resource company in the world.
