Adelaide to give students a Dream Start
13 Jul 2010
Education Adelaide and one of India’s
largest
agent networks, Oceanic Consultants, are the driving force behind a new
push to get some of India’s
best
and brightest students to study in South
Australia.
In partnership
with four South Australian institutions, and Education Adelaide, leading Indian
student recruitment company Oceanic has launched Dream Start 2011.
More than 35 students
from India will be offered prestigious
scholarships to study at participating institutions in Australia including the University
of South Australia, TAFESA, Flinders University
and Carnegie Mellon University.
Education
Adelaide Chief Executive Officer says the Dream Start program provides a great
opportunity for Indian students and for South Australian institutions to cement
their reputations at the quality end of international education provision.
“Adelaide is widely regarded as Australia’s Learning City,”
Ms von Wald says.
“We have earned a reputation for providing
world-class education opportunities and South
Australia is a supportive state which warmly welcomes
students from more than 130 countries.”
Ms von Wald says
given the challenges in the international education market in Australia and
highly competitive global environment, Dream Start also provides a good
opportunity to regain some lost momentum in the Indian market.
“While South Australia is still
well-placed, it’s important we take every opportunity to boost our profile and
Dream Start should help.”
Meanwhile Chief Executive Officer of Oceanic Consultants Naresh Gulati is in Adelaide to share his
business experience to a group of young hopeful entrepreneurs.
