Australian Rules football rocks

The other night me and about 250 other students went to watch Port Power play Collingwood – I think they are the Magpies. It was great fun and very exciting to watch the game, especially when you're amongst a huge crowd waving flags or whatever symbolises their team. Some very passionate people explained to me how the game works and within seconds, I began cheering with them!

This is no doubt one of the highlights of my time in Australia. I have always wanted to experience and learn about the Australian culture, doing things they like to do and trying to be a part of it. Being in a Aussie Rules Football match is all that! I really had fun that night and hopefully I'll be able to go to another game in the near future! So what team are you; Port Power or the Crows?

I agree, it is pretty hard not to get swept up in the excitement of the game - even if you don't understand the rules. Watching a live game is something everyone should try to do :)
